I learned in the Woods.

For years, I’ve been retreating to the Woods for inner solace and spiritual rejuvenation, helping me process and ease the challenges of being human, having a family, and owning a business. One thing I learned quickly was that any question or problem I brought to my walk in the woods was answered by a wisdom that made my heart full.

Now that my children are more independent, and space has emerged, I have found myself drawn to a daily two-hour walk in the woods alone. In the Yoga tradition, the third phase of life includes a departure from the worldly, and a desire to “go to the forest or garden” (Vanaprashta) with the goal of gaining greater understanding of Life and sharing this with humanity.
