June 19-25: Lesson 65: Personal Assessment/Chakra Balancing
Are you aware of all the insights, intuitions, and good ideas that come through to you every day? Most of us hear this guidance but block it. Caroline Myss, a pioneer in energy management, conveys this message in her work. I am simplifying here.
Our own best guidance comes in through the crown chakra, the part of our energy system that is connected to the greater Whole. We catch the guidance for a moment but it goes directly down to our root chakra, to our sense of being grounded and safe, where it meets the primal aversion to fear, change and the unknown. For many of us, the guidance ends there. For example, "Oh, I love that idea, but I couldn't possibly leave my job, or house, or current situation".
If it makes it through the first chakra, and travels up to the second or sacral chakra, it is met then with our insecurities and fears around work, peer relationships, and who we are in relationship to others. "Oh, my husband or boss or coworkers would never approve". The idea dies.
If it makes it to the third chakra, our solar plexus and sense of identity, it is met with our own feelings about our personal power, confidence, self-esteem, personal responsibility. "Oh, I am not good enough. Who do I think I am with this idea?" The idea disappears.
If it makes it to the heart chakra, we now have more of a chance, as the energy of love and openness and vulnerability allows the idea through. We are beginning to trust Ourselves, Life, and Love itself. We deserve this idea. We will have support. We will be guided. Alternately, we are wounded in our hearts. We think we do not deserve to receive love and sweetness in our lives.
The 5th chakra, in our throat, allows us a chance to voice, or to stifle the idea by not speaking our Truth. The 6th chakra, located in our "third eye", continues the trust in our own intuitive guidance, or once again falls prey to the illusion that we do not know our own Truth. The 7th or crown chakra, as mentioned in the beginning of this writing, allows us the opportunity to trust the wisdom of the Universe coming through us uniquely, yet again calling us to understand the language of our Soul.
