Yoga for A Healthy Pelvic Floor

Integrate the Pelvic Floor into your classes with confidence with Cristin Zaimes
Pelvic floor dysfunction is incredibly common, but not very well understood. People often feel embarrassed or ashamed, and yet at some point in our lives, most of us experience symptoms such as pain or leaking urine while sneezing, coughing or exercising, and have been lead to believe this is normal.
Although symptoms are common, they are not normal and are a sign of physical dysfunction, and as yoga teachers, we are in a unique position to help students overcome pelvic floor dysfunction.
This workshop will be an interactive exploration that will enable participants to offer their students practical and effective cues that help to strengthen the pelvic floor and core muscles, while simultaneously lengthening and releasing.
We are excited to work together with Cristin Zaimes from Oceanside Physical Therapy, who specializes in pelvic floor physical therapy. She is passionate about assisting her clients who love yoga, by helping them understand their personal pelvic floor imbalances, and tailoring yoga practices, including pranayama and asana, to best serve their needs.
Our three hour Advanced Teaching Workshops are intended to increase skills directly related to teaching groups, including ability to share and discuss the topic, lead experiential practices, and structure and sequence a yoga class.
This workshop is open to Healthcare professionals, Yoga teacher trainees, Yoga instructors and practitioners, and curious students. Yoga Instructors: This workshop is eligible for 3 Yoga Alliance CEU’s
Workshop Cost $45
