Look no further!

yoga agingJoin us for this four week series with the beginner in mind. Each practice will start with a yogic theme and brief centering. You will become more aware of your breathing and learn simple and effective breathing practices. Each week we will focus on gentle warm ups of the joints and movements of the spine as we explore the alignment of some of the more common poses and their variations. As we do so, yoga props, such as blocks and straps, will be introduced and modifications will be offered in order to support you. You will have choices and will feel empowered to do what feels best in your body.  At the end of each practice, you will be guided into relaxation and a brief meditation.

Bring your questions and an open mind as you come to discover the power of the practice! All levels and abilities are welcome.

Series Cost: $60

Allison Parks Dugas

parks-dugas allisonAllison Parks Dugas has been teaching yoga since 2010 and is registered with the Yoga Alliance. She is a graduate of the YogaLife Institute of NH's 200-hour and advanced 300 hour Classical Yoga Teacher Training programs and has completed an additional 300 hour training in Comprehensive Yoga Therapy at Yogalife. She began her yoga journey in 1999 studying Ashtanga and vinyasa-style yoga. She was drawn to the benefits of a physical practice. When she discovered the YogaLife Institute’s Teacher Training program, she was at a different place in her life, married with two small children, she wanted to prioritize her self-care and expand her understanding of yoga to help her navigate life better. This deeper dive into yoga included not only the physical practices but also the mental, spiritual and philosophical elements as well as a gentler form. It has helped her to feel whole and at peace despite what goes on around her. It has helped her understand suffering and apply the tools of yoga to help alleviate it. Prior to teaching yoga, Allison earned her masters degree in Elementary Education and was a 4th grade teacher. Being a former gymnast and figure skater, Allison has gravitated toward exploring the relationship of how the body, breath and mind relate to one another and how they are a vehicle to connect to our true nature, our authentic self. Yoga has truly been a gift to her and she enjoys sharing that gift with others in her studio classes, workshops, one-on-one and as a senior teacher in the Yogalife teacher training programs. Even when she is off her mat, she continues to practice yoga by bringing the tools and benefits she has gained from the practice into her day-to-day life.
