The Energy of the Eightfold Path
Saturday, January 26, 2019, 10:30am - 04:30pm
This is a two day event: Saturday, January 26 and Sunday, January 27
A Yogic Journey through the Chakras
The dedicated practice of yoga and the movement of chakra energy both unfold in non-linear ways. Join us if you are interested in exploring how these spiraling paths can be woven together for deeper insights and understanding. On the yogic path, we cultivate an experience of the subtle realms (Samadhi) by starting with shifting our behavior in our daily lives (yamas/niyamas). With an understanding of the chakras, we attune ourselves so that we can operate with more faith and trust, moving from the root to the crown chakra. This weekend immersion will explore the intersections where the eight-fold path (yamas, niyamas….samadhi) meet the chakras (root, sacral…. crown, aura).
Gain new insight and experience and experiment with ways to integrate this knowledge into your yoga classes and personal practice. Replenish the flow of your energy and increase awareness through guided yoga practice, short lecture, personal inquiry, pranayama, conversation, and meditation.
In this weekend immersion, you will explore:
- The energetics of the eight-fold path and how it connects to the chakras.
- Insights and strategies for keeping on your path and trusting your journey.
- Techniques to maximize attunement to energetic well-being through the lens of the chakra system.
- Teaching practices for chakra balancing including asana, visualization, pranayama, and bij mantras.
- Relationships of the chakras to various aspects personal experience and physical anatomy.
- Your own intuitive “felt” sense of the chakras and how to develop this understanding to improve your personal relationships and yoga teaching.
- Practical applications for integrating subtle energies into daily life.
