What does it mean to be students and teachers of Classical Yoga? What is the Classical Yoga approach? What is unique about Classical Yoga? Where is the lineage of Classical Yoga?
The Art of Teaching Classical Yoga workshop will examine the history / lineage and approach of Classical Yoga along with the continuing expansion and evolution of the practice. We will look at the unique class structure, which includes lecturing, asanas, relaxation, breathing and meditation. In our workshop we will trace the pathway of Classical Yoga from its origin in India to each of us who are Classical Yoga students and teachers.
Just as in a Classical Yoga class, this workshop will incorporate lecture, discussion, asana practice, relaxation, breathing, and meditation. We will have an opportunity to deepen our connection and understanding of Classical Yoga and to reflect on the gifts it brings into our lives.
