The heart chakra is located near the center of the sternum. This energy center represents higher consciousness and love. It is associated with the heart, thymus gland, lower lung and circulatory system. The heart chakra acts as the balance point for all the chakras. It governs our relationships and how we interact with other people. A balanced heart chakra is expressed in acceptance of self and others, personal values and ethics, following one's unique direction in life. A balanced Heart Chakra means expansion, freedom and growth!

YogaVoice is the exploration of creativity and authentic expression through chant and song. Classical yoga principles and practices are synthesized with vocal techniques to enable people to connect to (and in some cases discover) their true voices. This weekend seminar will focus on understanding creative self-expression from a "whole body" viewpoint with an emphasis on the role of the chakras. Group chanting and singing will highlight the weekend. A great seminar for the trained and non-trained singer alike, as well as for yoga practitioners interested in chanting.
Blue Moon Yoga 8 Clifford St., Exeter, NH

This session will cover: Overcoming Performance Anxiety "Self-expression is the essence of human creativity. Yet for many, performance anxiety can be a real impediment to the freedom of mind, breath, and body that is required for personal authenticity be it onstage, in the classroom, or at home. This two hour seminar will explore the roots of performance anxiety and how it manifests in the spirit-mind-body complex, and then discuss Yoga principles and practices to overcome the blocks that performance anxiety can generate. Singers, musical performers, public speakers, teachers, chanters, and anyone who has ever felt inhibited from creative self-expression will find the workshop stimulating and helpful.

Children who are challenged by special needs such as attentional issues, depression, anxiety, muscle movement disorders, hearing loss, autism, and sensory arousal often struggle with low self-esteem, lack of body awareness, and lack of tools or skills to best cope and thrive in their world. Yoga as a holistic science views the child as a spiritual being, emphasizing human connection and self acceptance. Effective practices such as breathing techniques, movement and positive thinking assist the child to be calm and more comfortable in the world.
