Gentle Yoga with Karen Batchelder

This class is less strenuous than others, yet still supports students to build strength and flexibility through slow and mindful movement. Class begins with a brief centering practice and sharing of Yoga philosophy, creating a simple theme.  Class also includes a variety of breathing, relaxation and meditation practices.These offerings help the Yoga student understand the holistic science of Yoga, and how to bring it into our daily lives and everyday actions.

Karen creates a safe and supportive environment for her students, with an emphasis on quieting the mind with the breath, and a 15 minute relaxation at the end of class.  You are encouraged to practice at your own pace and listen to your body. New students always welcomed.

Karen Batchelder

batchelder karenKaren is a graduate of YogaLife Institute's 200 and 500-hour Classical Yoga Teacher Training programs and Level 1 of the Comprehensive Yoga Therapy training. She is also certified in the Usui System Reiki tradition. Karen began her yoga journey in 1998 as a method to alleviate anxiety and discovered that yoga provided not only stress relief, but a series of tools and life lessons that help with anxiety and so much more. She aspires to help others who seek relief from anxiety by integrating these tools and personal discoveries into her gentle yoga classes. She creates a welcoming and supportive environment for students to experience this beautiful practice.
