Gentle Chair Yoga
Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that is practiced while sitting in a chair or standing using a chair for support. It adapts traditional yoga poses so that they can be done making yoga more accessible for people who cannot stand for long periods, or are worried that knees, hips, and/or back won’t like getting up and down from a mat.
As in traditional yoga class, chair yoga helps to reduce stress, improve your range of motion and strengthen your body. Each class will also include breath awareness and relaxation techniques and a brief meditation.
Classes are suitable for all ages, fitness levels and physical conditions, beginners are welcomed.
