About the program: This 10 month program is for dedicated Yoga students interested in deepening their personal understanding and practice of Classical Yoga, and gaining their 200 hour yoga teacher training certification.

Our goal is to help guide you to learn the skills necessary to practice all aspects of yoga and teach yoga effectively. We have a holistic and supportive approach to educating our students, to prepare them to become confident and knowledgeable yoga instructors. This program emphasizes the “living of Yoga” and thereby brings personal transformation to those who are ready and willing. We believe that those individuals who live their Yoga make the best Yoga instructors.

We honor our lineage through the Yoga Institute of Mumbai, India, the world’s oldest yoga institute, & YogaLife PA who brought their teachings to the USA. We have been running teacher training programs in New Hampshire since 2006 and have a wealth of experience and an excellent faculty.

rost julieJulie Rost, Founder, YogaLife Institute. Her undergraduate degree in Psychology included research based in the healing benefit of Yoga for Adolescents. Years of working in women’s reproductive health led to a three year service as Peace Corps Volunteer in Malawi, Africa, where her experience with village doctors of traditional medicine catapulted her interest in studying the holistic and natural approaches of the Yoga lifestyle. She received her Classical Yoga and Yoga Therapy training from the YogaLife Institute in PA. Julie is currently the Spiritual Director of the YogaLife Institute of NH, teaching Yoga Philosophy 101 and 201 and teaching in its 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Program. Alice v1Alice Bentley, RYT500, is the Director of the YogaLife Teacher Training Program.  As a ‘householder yogi’, balancing a busy life with 5 children, husband, and multiple pets, she has found the wisdom and practice of yoga to be profoundly supportive. She deeply believes in the power of yoga to transform our relationship to stress and to ease our way in the world. Her passion is for training yoga teachers, seeing their personal transformation through the programs and creating a learning environment that develops confidence and practical skills to enable them to share their unique gifts through their teaching. She has completed her 500 hour yoga teacher training and 300 hour yoga therapy training.

Allison Parks Dugas, E-RYT500, is a certified yoga instructor through Yoga Alliance and has been teaching yoga since 2010. She is a graduate of the YogaLife Institute of NH's 200-hour and advanced 300 hour Classical Yoga Teacher Training programs and has completed an additional 300 hour training in Comprehensive Yoga Therapy Level 1. She began her yoga journey in 1999 studying Ashtanga and vinyasa-style yoga.  She was drawn to the benefits of a physical practice. When she discovered the YogaLife Institute’s Teacher Training program, she was at a different place in her life, married with small children, she wanted to prioritize her self-care and expand her understanding of yoga to help her navigate life better. This deeper dive into yoga included not only the physical practices but also the philosophical, psychological, spiritual and lifestyle elements as well as a gentler form. She believes yoga has been a gift in her life and she loves to share that gift with others in her studio classes, workshops, one-on-one and as a senior teacher and curriculum developer in the Yogalife of New Hampshire Teacher Training Program. Prior to teaching yoga, Allison earned her masters degree in Elementary Education and was a 4th grade teacher. Off her mat, she continues to bring the tools and benefits she has gained from the practice into her day-to-day life with her husband and two sons.

As a Level I yoga as therapy teacher, Carter is uniquely qualified to bring the teachings of yoga psychology and philosophy into the physical practice of yoga. Carter has studied and practiced numerous styles of yoga such as ashtanga, vinyasa, gentle, meditation and restorative. A treasure trove of yoga philosophy!

Our teachers, as well as our daily practice, serve to provide a "reminder" of what we already know in our hearts and souls to be true. The following writings reflect these reminders that we need practice and more practice, and a community that supports us in our path towards enlightenment.
